Transforming The Economy In The Age Of Liberalisation: Lecture By The Right Honourable Owen Arthur, MP

Former PM, the Right Honourable Owen Arthur, MP, is due to speak this evening at the Errol Barrow Centre, UWI Cave Hill Campus from 7pm (see notice alongside). It should be an interesting presentation.

I see you have "The Right Honourable Owen Arthur, MP".

Is he really an MP or in name only? When was the last time you saw him in the House of Assembly making any type of useful contribution?

Is this the only way he can get his ideas across now that he is being block by the current leadership in the Barbados Labour Party?

How the mighty have fallen.

I won't be attending.

@Carson C. Cadogan,

Cudear! While Mr. Arthur has his official standing as an elected member of the House of Assembly he can travel with the title. How he functions now as an MP is a matter for his party, his constituents and fellow MPs. Time will tell how his activities are viewed after losing the last elections. He has said several things about his future plans as a leader and we will see how and if they are fulfilled.

I think he has many and varied ways to get his views across, and he chooses those which serve his needs best.
