Layout change: an explanation

To deal with other reactions, I had to change the blog's format yesterday due to a technical problem with the previous template, which for some reason was not allowing new comments since a week ago. A would be commenter flagged this to me. I have to work with a new series of upgraded templates from Blogger, and have chosen this new one as it appeals to me for its clean layout. I know that some of the regular readers prefer the former layout but please understand the technical difficulties and I will see if I can revert to the old style with no complications.
